Intro

So by now you have seen my Epic Cool Card and you are wondering, well
what is this? Well Dad I have decided to do something a little more special than
a 20 dollar gift card from Lowes you will never use .To commemorate your
parenthood I have put some effort into this blog that displays my love and
affection for you (as a parent of course). Also partly because i'm super broke
and can't afford a Lowes gift card.

Here are some things I appreciate about my father :)

Supportiveness

Supportiveness in my opinion is the most important part of being a parent because if a child doesn't have support, how is it supposed to get anywhere. I want to give a needed thanks to you for supporting me no matter what I attempt to do. I have realized that when I had began middle school I passed through a phase where I wanted to do so many things. I wanted to Scuba dive, do Karate, Science Olympiad, and even rock climbing at one point. I can barely remember what happened back then but what I do remember was that you were there for all of it. I don't mean just "there" but "really there". You were always giving me ideas on what to do or how I should go about it and supporting me. Other times when I went through rough situations you were there to help me too. Remember the time I went without a shower for a few weeks? You let me stay at the apartment, even taking me to school and getting breakfast? I really enjoyed and appreciated that, and i never even thanked you. Do you remember the multitude of times i wanted to do a school project and you would pay for all of the materials, even recommending what to get? I never thanked you for those times either.  I never said thank you for all of those times I was in need and you were there. So thanks, thank you for being there when I need you, never letting me down a single time.

Dedication and Dependability

I never thanked you for the amount of dedication that you put into being my father. The amount of hard work that you do that I take for granted is unbelievable. Coming on time every single Wednesday and every other weekend is a huge feat. The amount of money and time you take just to come see me almost brings me to tears as I write. I really want to thank you for consistently driving down here to see me, and picking me up as well. Taking the time to teach me to do things slowly, and to deal with my stupidity is something I take for granted as well. The amount of dedication and time you took to teach me how to do yard work and other tasks I should have already known is something that deserves to be recognized. To add onto that I also want to thank you for being dependable. I can't remember a single time in which I have asked you to do something, and it hasn't been done. If i need dry cleaning or a chauffeur to somewhere, done. That is one of the things I appreciate the most and I am so lucky to have, so thanks, thank you for being dependable and never letting me down.

Really, Super duper thank you

Patience

One of the things i take most for granted, and the one thing I really shouldn't,  is your patience. The amount of patience you must focus to deal with my constant error is phenomenal. ALL the times I have forgotten things either around the house or at my moms that hinder our plans. ALL the times I forget how to do something seconds after you explain it resulting in you having to repeat it . ALL the times I forget you told me not to do something and I do it anyways because i forget. ALL the times I just sit on my ass and play video games instead of helping around the house. These are all times in which I exude traits of a failure, and you suck it right up and take the time to fix it. I feel really bad not thanking you for dealing with these things earlier. So here is a belated thank you for being extremely patient with your son. I want you to know I do recognize it and i'm sorry for all the hassle I put you through.

Coolness

ENOUGH with all this soapy sh*t! This is a section dedicated to how cool you are! I am so lucky to have a cool dad, you won’t believe how many of my friend's dads don't tell jokes, or interact with their kids. I have had a multitude of moments where I was like " I am so lucky I have my dad". Like, how many dads let their kids help with the REAL house work and how many dads take their kids out to go quad riding or shooting. Like most of my friends usually go to family events and the mall, which is also cool, but you know, shooting, sledding, and quad riding is cooler. You wouldn't believe how much I brag about you to my friends, they all idolize you as the coolest dad on earth(especially tom). I also really love the fact i can tell jokes around you and you are okay with it. I can tell a joke about terrorists and you would laugh and I am super thankful for it. I also appreciate how you know practically everything, you’re like my human knowledge compendium. Sometimes I like to play a game where I just point and go, “what’s that?” then listen and learn, it’s actually really fun. You are the most smartest, coolest, most dependable, patient, and dedicated dad around and I am thankful for it.

Love you Dad. Happy Fathers day to the best dad in existence :)
